Testing and going live

Test mode

Your account manager can give you an account in test mode. Everything works as in live mode, on the real payment page, but with test cards and no money. The mode belongs to the account, not to the request: the same API, the same calls.

Card Result
4242 4242 4242 4242 Paid
4000 0025 0000 3155 Asks for 3-D Secure, then paid
4000 0000 0000 9995 Declined: insufficient funds

Any expiry date in the future, any CVC.

Before going live

  • [ ] callbackUrl, successUrl and cancelUrl are your real public addresses, not localhost.
  • [ ] Your callback handler checks the signature before reading the body, and compares the amount with your order.
  • [ ] A repeated payment.paid for a fulfilled order does nothing.
  • [ ] Your handler answers 2xx within 15 seconds.
  • [ ] In test mode: a paid card brought payment.paid; a declined card left the order open, with the reason in attempts.
  • [ ] Unpaid orders are closed on your side after your own timeout.
  • [ ] The API key and the callback secret are in environment variables, not in your code.
